A Night Out on the Town!

Who doesn't enjoy getting all dolled up to go out? Think it takes too much effort? It shouldn't! Have fun with your hair, your makeup and go out with confidence!

Below is what I used to make this look happen:

  • Charcoal/Black shadow on the lid (Creep from the UD Naked Palette)
  • Dark brown shadow in the crease and a bit under the lower lashes (Darkhorse from the UD Naked Palette)
  • Light shadow on the brow bone and the inner corners of the lid (Virgin from UD Naked Palette)
  • Also added a white shimmer right below my brows and inner corners of the lid (I used a white from a drugstore brand called Isa Dora)
  • Liquid eyeliner (Maybelline's Ultra Liner in black)
  • Black mascara (Maybelline Great Lash Mascara)
  • Pink blush on apples of cheeks and also brushed up cheek bones (Physicians Formula - Blushing Rose)
  • The lip color is a bit of a mystery. I had a berry colored lip stick sample and have no idea where it is from.  I then decided to go into the Coastal Scents 88 color eye shadow palette and add some shadow onto my lips for a bit of an ombre effect. So, it went berry all over, then a magenta that outlined around my lips, then a light pink that came closer to the center of my lips and a white added to the very center of my lips. Experiment! Adding the shadow is super fun!
  • Powder to finish off the look (bareMinerals Mineral Veil)

Dare to Go Dark!

Going dark might be scary but I swear, once you try it, you will LOVE it! This is something you can wear with a little black dress or to a metal concert! It is very versatile!

Here are the items I used to achieve this look:

- Black eyeshadow on lid and brought a little into the crease (from  NYX smokey eyes palette ). I also used this to line my lower lashline
- Dark brown shadow used for crease. I blended it into the little bit of black that was also in the crease (MUG aka makeupgeek eyeshadow in Mocha )
- A shimmery peachy color for the brow bone (from NYX smokey eyes palette)
- Black Mascara (lash blast volume from Maybelline that comes in orange container)
- Liquid Eyeliner (Maybelline's Ultra Liner in black)
-Pencil Eyeliner for the bottom waterline (black victoria's secret pencil)
-Fake Lashes (Ardell 305)
-Red Lipstick (Cover Girl's Classic Red )

-Bronzer for the cheeks (Too Faced Beach Bunny)
-a brownish blush for contouring cheek bones (NYX blush in Taupe)
-Powder (bareMinerals Mineral Veil)

Summer Shine

Hello ladies! So, I wanted to share my makeup look with you today. Now, perhaps instead of coming home from work and taking photos of my all day makeup, I should have showered or just shared the look this weekend. However, I was excited to post something and wanted to do it ASAP! Anytime I wear this eyeshadow look, I tend to get lots of compliments! So, here it is...after all day at work! Let me know what you think!

I used a few shadows that were sitting around my place! Here is what you need to know:

- a light gold on the lid (I used the gold from a Maybelline trio called "Metal Eyes")
- a green in the crease (I used the green from a  Maybelline's expert wear eyeshadow quad called "Enchanted Forest")
- a champagne for the brow bone (I used the champagne from the same "Metal Eyes" trio above
- a light brown to blend in between the green and the champagne (this is best to do when you have a large area between your lid and brow)
- Maybelline's liquid Eyeliner
- Too Faced deep bronzing powder
- Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in "Cupcake"

Beauty for Thought...

I have come to notice that the guys I date seem to love me without makeup. I find this to be crazy! I don't feel confident without makeup! Heck, I don't even go to WalMart without makeup on! To me, makeup is artistic. It is like magic. It helps you cover up your imperfections and bring out your best features. Who doesn't want to look their best every single day? I guess I get this from my mom. I watched her do her hair and makeup every morning. Watching her transform was so exciting. She looked like she was going out to a fancy dinner, when in reality, she was going to mow the lawn! Some people might see this as vein but I see nothing wrong with wanting to put your best face forward!
